In the meantime, maybe to keep your current bookings in place and not lose that income, you could work with a mediator to explain that you will seek a full time renter after these current bookings have transpired. 

The lumber market is still elevated year over year, but it is starting to correct.I can’t say if what has transpired justifies the price of lumber, but we live in a country with a free market system.

As for the posts and getting prickly, I didn't see everything that transpired but tried to explain that reasonably a couple of days ago, yet you insist on relitigating the matter.

This will be long-winded, but I want to convey that there is a lesson to be learned here: what transpired could have been prevented with better questions from me and better communication from a property manager and plumbing contractor. - The plumbing in these buildings is very old - For every big piece of renovation I have been doing in the unit, I notified the property manager via email and asked if there would be any objections because I know that HOAs can be difficult to deal with. - PM gave me the OK to schedule my own plumber (reputable, licensed, insured) to perform work on my unit. - My plumber notices that many common area shut off valves are seized and almost all shut off valves in my unit are seized. - After testing the shut off valves in the basement storage room, one of the hot water valves started leaking.

But in the real world there isn't any way to guarantee a purchase will transpire. 

Other wise you have to do a double closing where you mask the profit by closing the first deal, then closing on the sale with your buyer. ( don’t quote me, but I read somewhere that this is how it should transpire)

Yes, this was during the holidays of Christmas and New Year's so I wasn't expecting a miracle but after so many weeks and excuses, other things transpired and I decided it was time to cut my losses and move on. 

The outlook on what’s transpiring, for the most part, is trending one of two ways.

Funny that the buyer has no such equal protection against the seller breaching contract, but that's another topic/discussion for another time.You should be at a point where you can either accept the circumstances that have transpired so far and move forward or, not accept the circumstance and walk away (if the terms of the contract have not been met, the contract is cancelled without you having to state that, it is the failure of the terms being met that cancels the contract, that's how contracts work).

They might even begin emptying units in hope to sell goods in order to make ends meet.Long-term, I personally believe in self-storage but I'm not making any huge bets based on what transpires in the next few months.
