Once the borrower is served a notice of seizure does he/she have any input on this process?  

This is a bit disconcerting. I looked at a couple of these domains and they have been seized. I'm trying to find some background data on this story to make sure some dork didn't just make this up.

They then go off on their own starting thier own business, what Michael Gerber the author of the EMYTH book call the "entrepreneur seizure".

//Begin Gain From Involuntary Conversion Rules(c) Conversion into money or into dissimilar property.(1) If property (as a result of its destruction in whole or in part, theft, seizure, or acquisition orcondemnation or threat or imminence thereof) is compulsorily or involuntarily converted into moneyor into property not similar or related in service or use to the converted property, the gain, if any,shall be recognized, at the election of the taxpayer, only to the extent that the amount realized uponsuch conversion exceeds the cost of other property purchased by the taxpayer which is similar orrelated in service or use to the property so converted, or the cost of stock of a corporation owningsuch other property which is purchased by the taxpayer in the acquisition of control of suchcorporation, if the taxpayer purchased such other property, or such stock, for the purpose ofreplacing the property so converted and during the period specified in subparagraph (3) of thisparagraph.

So the LLC prevents, provided no pierce of veil, liens and seizure of personal assets deriving from the assets inside the LLC.

There is a thread in another BP forum debating the merits of keeping your RE mortgaged in order to make the asset seizure less desirable in the event of a lawsuit.  

It is complete BS and in my opinion a clear violation of a person's 4th amendment rights of unreasonable search and seizure, but I'm not the person who is going to fight that fight in the courts. 

He was recently hospitalized for alcohol-related seizures, and refused to go to rehab.

I'm on the fence about renting to her so I'm not sure if I'm going to ask for proof of the seizure or do some more county search digging LOL@Kyle Bruns ...
