That said, I'm really hoping to get back in the RE saddle soon.  

But you should be sure to have a end buyer sitting in the saddle ready to ride before drafting a contract.

Can't hurt to ask :) If all you want it help on the eviction front I wouldn't hire a PM I would hire a RE Lawyer to handle that part and then when they are out you are back in the saddle.  

Most commonly this is someone seasoned in the widget business, who just opened their own widget shop, and they aren't saddled with 15 layers of middle management, so the new business might not do as many units of widgets, but those widgets they do sell, the business reaps the profits that otherwise would have been paid out to useless middle management.
