Commissions are no longer viewable to the public because the thought was that agents were steering their clients to show homes with higher commissions 1.

Real estate syndication investing is still quite valuable as it can offer higher Returns than investing in public REITs but not as high returns as direct ownership and management of real estate by some experienced people, but with the benefit of being far more passive, than direct ownership/management.

I’d also look at local amenities, school districts (if targeting families), and proximity to major employers or transportation hubs.

well if I ever make it to the Smokies to see what the draw is  I will rent a condo then :)  I am just guess but I suspect folks that go there want to be in the woods and hear the birds and maybe some local mtn views etc.. or some sort of privacy they never get at home out east were there is not very much public lands close to where they live in the big city. ????

Depending on the county some provide public records of owners' name and numbers to the public thats are attached to the property so people can reach them
