They sell you the land (you may or may not need to put some cash down) and they carry a note in 1st position.

But based on this feedback above, it may be time to evaluate selling them. 

- Renting it Out: The likely rent I'd get in this area will cover half my mortgage payments at the moment- Add Square Footage: Taxes will likely go up significantly- Build an ADU: Overall ROI will likely not offset much since it'll still be counted as value tied to the one house- Selling Off Land: Sits on .5 acre that I might be able to sell.

It gets tricky because wind can be argued as the cause for almost anything, besides water.Is there a way to complete some preventative measures like cutting trees back around the property...?
