With basically everything grinding to a halt right now and a bunch of renovation projects temporarily on hold, there will be a pent-up demand for labor later this year (hopefully when the virus is contained).

Granted real estate prices are a slow lagging indicator and there has been so much pent up demand, competition and good jobs and low rates, rents are up and prices up over 6% in my local area.

So even if there is a temporary slowdown, once the overblown mass hysteria dies down things will likely return to normal with a bunch of pent up demand that's been shut in doors the previous few months.After all, it's not like housing demand is suddenly going to go away.
