Contractor or framer, plumber, electrician?

Framer had to be rescheduled  along with all the other trades .  

I've found good framers, roofers, plumbers, electricians, masons, sheetrock guys, and floor experts just from going to sites and asking around.

Do you know what is expected of an electrician/plumber/framer, i.e.is their work up-to-code when they're done?

Most framers build at 16" o.c. just because that's what they've always done and no one has asked them to do differently.I understand that the common understanding of sustainable construction is that it's more expensive.

I've spent years building trusted relationships with a realtor, attorney, HVAC, plumber, electrician, framer, roofer, concrete guy, tree guy, vinyl siding guy, insulation, grader, flooring guy, countertop guy, brick mason, handy man, etc.

But when you are short one beam hanger that is hard to find and they bring one out from 20 miles away for free so your framer can keep working, that's valuable.Mistake costs: Your suppliers, your subcontractors and you will make mistakes.

He's a good framer just doesn't know how to read plans very well.

We are in the process of building a new home in Mesa AZ outside of Phoenix and were wondering if anyone has a framer they use?
