I was planning on going to med school so I could buy deals down the road, but I figured it would be better to just jump right in.

He's big on starting my own business or starting life on the right foot (paid for my undergrad and my sibling's undergrad/med school) so he's matching my savings to help out.

I was planning to go to med school, but realized that I wanted to go that route so I could dump earnings into real estate.

Cost of living, taxes, etc, are all lower, and there is a strong rental market especially in our South City area where there are top med schools, hospitals, and a booming tech industry. 

My friend is med student and she thinks it would rent out there.

Just finished a master's degree while working full time and came to a realization that more school (med school) would just mean more debt and more hours working for someone else.
