Benefits:1) Tenants can't lock keys in house, they have to use their key to lock the deadbolt.2) Cheaper to rekey or replace locks (only deadbolt!)

If you were to sell the rental, what would be your budget and buying criteria to house hack?

In a worst case scenario like the house burns down or a tenant sues you and you're not insured properly, that's a big risk. 

I think a lot of the midwest cities will capitalize on that in the coming years with the housing affordability issues the country as a whole has been having.
