How do I reduce the amount of calls that I get about people wanting to buy my house?

Hi everyone. My wife and I bought a single family house in Texas a few years ago. Since then my wife and I have been getting calls from people about wanting to buy this house. They've even called my mom who we don't live with anymore (but lived with at the time we applied for the loan). I asked AI and suggestions were to check government records and public records so I'll do that, but wanted to see if anyone here has other suggestions. Thank you.

First of all, get your phone number on the donotcall.gov site.  Second, get your phone record removed from sites like Whitepages, Been Verified, and the like.  Third, if you don't know the caller, let it go to voicemail and if neither of those work, file a 2nd mortgage lien, payable to you for an amount 5x the value of your home.  That will stop most wholesalers from calling when it appears you have no equity in your home.  If you choose to do the lien, have an attorney or title company draw it up for you.

Hi Calvin, if is it listed with anyone, it may have a similar address and a realtor posted your address by mistake,This happened to me a few months ago whereby I own a condo in a community that has 3 building and I own A6, but they were trying to list C6 and only added 6 to the MLS listing lol. I had to search it myself and call listing agent who edited the correct listed property and not mine :)

Also, if you are getting random "I heard you were selling your house" calls and texts, they are usually wholesalers trying to get you to consider selling even if you're not. Other than blocking them, not much you can do about them unfortunately :(
