Elgin is a great rental property market, but the city does require inspections every 2 years, and you do have to take a landlord class.If you can househack a 3-4 unit building out in your area, that will be a golden ticket to get started. 

Stay for the forums, avoid the Bigger Pockets upsells and you will be golden.

Anyone who places an emphasis on networking with wholesalers as a golden ticket is a wholesaler.

Many will say no, but once you find the one that knows what you want and can give you that loan you will be golden.

I ask because I m CIPS certified and my network has 1000s of professionals in Real estate across the Globe so someone in the network can point you in the right direction. 

I want out of the W2 world but the golden handcuffs (and 3 teenagers) keep me tethered.

If you have equity in the property and are able to sell then you have a golden parachute out.
