I know people all over vouch for it, but it is just not my thing.BTW the reason the numbers do not "add up" was because we got some money back from a shady contractor that frogged us up.

I have a dog and 2 cats and pretty much have always had dogs and cats so I like animals (we also have a plethora of additional animals: snakes, lizards, fish, frog, tortoise, millipedes, etc. : we are almost a zoo).The tenant that I made give up their "Emotional Support Animal" violated the lease as soon as they had a dog stay at the unit without notifying us.

Buy in either: - Established, affluent areas: Pacific Heights, Presidio, Cow Hollow, Sea Cliff OR- Tier 2 areas that might become more affluent: Mission Bay, Potrero, Dogpatch, MAYBE "Outer Sunset" (although yes - it's probably in a lower tier than the others) 2) Are we likely to make money if we invest in a cosmetic renovation of an older place or is the cost of labor and materials in SF likely to diminish our potential profits to a negligible amount.

@DeMario McGhee   welcome to the BP community,  find a local REIA, get good contractors at home depot at 6 am,   good contractors are always busy,  you need an investor-friendly title company,    sometimes you need to kiss a lot of frogs    good luck

One of the contractors who was in to give an estimate mentioned my bed and bathroom doors--standard hollow core doors--and said originally they were ugraded solid panel doors for that house.
