I’ve never managed roommates or lived with roommates but I know it will benefit me so if  the triplex doesn’t work out I wouldn’t mind having roommates.

If you're signed with AvantStay on the master lease and the numbers work out for you, I'd say ride it out for as long as possible.

Govt loans will typically offer loan mods, forbearance, and other workout/loss mitigation options if requested, but that is a feature of the loan, not law.

I love that these homes are in class A neighborhoods, I have seen this strategy work out for investors before but they were at least cashflow neutral.
