The investments should be chosen based on increased wealth, so that an investment in land, providing no income, but likely to triple in value in 24 months, would be chosen over a office building throwing off 12% income, but unlikely to increase in value.

(When I was in my 20's - I am now 77 years old, I did a ton of equity based foreclosures.) 6. offer to partner with the sale and liquidation of the property for a fee or equity position.Understand that as a foreclosure buyer - you need to first try to solve the owners problem by giving suggestions to him - how can you help him, what suggestions can you give that will help him out.

Based on your goals, experience level, and my assumption that high earning w-2s tend to be demanding of your time, I actually think that there are better ways for you to offset your w-2 income.
