In reality, if you're looking for liability protection then just get a larger umbrella insurance policy.Switching the property after the fact won't be difficult, unless you have a mortgage.

I was considering putting an umbrella on the property but have not done that yet. 

There is more risk with your personal name - which is why I carry an umbrella policy.

An MTR is very subjective to the property type you have, and therefore it is worth digging a bit deeper than just the MTR umbrella.
