I've seen examples of companies that don't answer the phone, only have 4 hours a week that Tenants can come into the office, practice just horrible screening practices, take weeks to respond to maintenance issues... the list goes on.

I will second to say this is common practice.The intent of this part of the contract is for your Liability insurance to respond any slip and fall claim on your property, not the PM's Liability insurance.

I have 4 tenants and I had set up a system where if the tenant calls they were to leave a message or text and I would respond within 24hrs.

@Philissa Gilliard I think this depends on the individual and who you're targeting to do business with, If someone contacted me wanting to conduct business and the only digital footprint they had was a Gmail account or something similar I wouldn't respond assuming it was fraud or someone who didn't have their business together so dealing with them may not be as professional.
