Agree Sean, I'm in the early stages/data gathering but I do have a business interest in the area now so I'll be there more over the next few months.

Will you be helping throughout my business plan?

I am looking for someone with good systems and processes they use in their success than I can try and implement into my future business plan and one day be able to return the favor. 

I currently lean toward upstate NY and MI (Detroit metro) as I live in the west but have family in Canada not far from those locations and the idea of being able to visit family with trips that can double as business write-offs is appealing.

In NYC starting a midterm rental business.

It's a bit cheaper and less busy.

You might also meet someone that could be a potential business partner.

In any relationship, business or personal setting expectations up front can make the difference between success and failure.

Lesson learned on going into business without exit plans, I guess...For reasons out of scope here, I just filed my 2021 taxes and the IRS hit me with a $30k capital gains bill (not including interest or penalties).
