I know lots of people in Melbourne Australia (one of the most expensive places in the world to buy) who love renting in area's they could never afford to buy in their life time, they make great money and love having a full time gardener etc that someone else manages, I know renters who are dismayed, unhappy, have no savings.. but we all know home owners who fit that bill too.

I might also take a picture of the plants that are supposedly a problem and head to a local gardening store where you can by the plants in question to demonstrate that the plants are intentional.I myself had an HOA manager that was working to make the community in her image.

I saw a key pad deadbolt on sale at home depot for 90 dollars today.I am also getting her the press down handle for easy open instead of the turn knob which the twisting motions hurts the wrists.
