My wife and I are buying a condo in a primarily college town.

I grew up from the 60’s onward until permanently leaving when I started college and as such the area I knew as a child has drastically changed. 

I went through college in Kansas and Texas, and I have been married to an amazing woman for a couple of months now.

And overall I feel like it can been a good place to invest in since it’s within reach of most of the colleges.

This thread reminds me of the time I got stranded at Euclid and I90 and had to walk all the way to college at university circle on a Saturday night right after the welfare checks came out.

Or "if it's within a 10 minute bike from Y college you'll be golden."

I arrived to Hawaii under Air Force Active Duty orders, put in the barracks with a pretty low wage as an E-3 Airman. 22 years old, no college education, a low 600 credit score and with a $14k car loan on Subaru STi (god I miss it). 

It is a matter of who you ask, the same as you would get different answers from different people on whether you should go to an elite school versus a technical or community college. 

This is where renting in a college town would be nice.

Our hope is for young pros or possibly end of college people along with older singles who work as tenants, but never know what is going to come our way.
