Approached multiple real estate agents in my market with the attempt of understanding pocket deals and to make offers on distressed on-market properties they have listed on the MLS.

Before you say 'you should have the money to get into a contract' I normally wouldn't be in this situation but I've just closed on a property that was all cash 2 weeks ago and a friend calls me on a property that's truly an amazing deal that I want to get into contract (has stable tenants renewing contracts above market, I can get for under market).

Any ideas suggestions or thoughts on the market?

The U.S. market is certainly a different market from Australia but can be very lucrative even for us as foreign investors. 

Does KC feel like a good market for that, for the people that are there?

I will be making another purchase by June of next year, so there is plenty of time to find my perfect market.
