I've heard a lot of horror stories and don't want to make the same mistakes as most.

I'm still waiting for one person here on BP to tell us some positive PR investing stories.

I've only posted part of the story, though.I listed the lot for sale and within a week I had several offers.

@Calvin Kwan- There isn't actually a hard and fast rule, in spite of all the "12 months" posts that you will read around here.There needs to be a story, a narrative, that makes sense. 

Im a young aspiring Real estate investor looking to get into my first buy and hold rental soon and really just grow my career through persistence and hard work so I can enjoy passivity and get out of the rat race.I'm interested in small multi-family and also ways to finance those deals with low and no money down(Just bought the book).I would love to hear advice and success stories from anyone in the surrounding area, or anyone in general.

This is a future success story.

My family owns a 15 story, 54 unit apartment building in Chicago, and our current cleaning "crew" consists of a woman who lives in the building with significantly discounted rent as a trade for cleaning public areas + taking the trash out to the alley from each floor every other day.

Once that flip sells at a profit you will have a better story.
