We take the 2 SFH and do the flips on them since they will create “fast money” and since we have a child going into college we probably need the cash more.

My parents had a new townhouse years ago, my mom couldn’t even put a small welcome flag by the door.

Backstory: My parents won an IRS auction and purchased a  lovely lakefront property to be their forever home (not as an investment or flip) in East TX.

Additionally, my wife and I are going to be moving back in with one of my parents to live rent free for the next 6 months to save as much as possible.

My downside was that I was a kinesiology major and the only reason why I went to college was because my parents said "the only way to be successful is to go to college" So if you can pay to go to college without putting yourself in debt, I highly recommend it.

My parents kept giving me these weird looks!  

The home has about 100k available to borrow...parents live in the home...trust is in the parents, mine and my sisters name.

The landlord loves it because they have 4 rooms they are renting out rather than one lower price point lease and the students (and the students parents) love it because they only have to worry about their own lease.

My parents told me its about 93 degrees down there this week and their humidity levels are high.
