Plus I'm a wholesaler so my VA can do anything that really needs to be done.

I've studied a lot of fundamentals and basic property analysis using a cool $24 course i found using google (it was very dry, but it amazing for a begginer like me), I read "tax free wealth", a guide to va home loans, a couple other kiosaki books, and I'm about to start the abc's of real estate investing.

My daughter is going to College in Virginia and we are thinking of buying there ( although she is finishing up and would not be renting from us as she already signed a lease for next year).

Many investors here in Northern Virginia, are purchasing 2nd position notes/trusts via foreclosure subject to payoff of the 1st.  

We've been consistent with our out-of-state absentee owner and probate mailings, but our phones don't ring like they did back when we were active with the bandit signs.We've tried the following to supplement our mailing campaigns:- Calling landlords from the local newspaper- Calling FSBO's from Zillow- Paying a VA to send "are you interested in selling" messages to landlords posting their properties on "house-for-rent" websites- "Driving for dollars"...and a few other things that I can't think of at the moment.I don't know if it's the seller's market we're still in in this area or what, but we're having a challenge right now getting leads coming in.

Hi, I'm just starting out in real estate investing and was wondering if anyone in the Portsmouth, Norfolk, or Virginia Beach area had any recommendations for a CPA who specializes in dealing with real estate investors.Thanks.

Right now I am pre approved for a VA loan and I have a real estate agent looking for duplexes for me so I can live in one side and rent the other one out.

As I expand this I will probably work with @Jerry Puckett to do my mailings and probably hire a VA to pre-screen calls.  

I am looking to purchase a commercial property in the downtown mall in Charlottesville, VA. 6000 sq ft. total.
