I have used sites like zillow, realtor.com, and craigslist as a reference but prefer something that lists past rental listings as well.I've considered rentometer but know its based on average/median rents so a lot of apartment complexes are included when I am more interested in SF homes and duplex rental rates.Thanks!

There really isn't a secret to what I've done, much of it is spelling out to them why you're a great candidate (your clean, you have a steady job, you take care of the unit as if it's your own home, your a good neighbor, etc).
