My hope is at some point they let you out of this deal and give you back whatever money you have sunk into it, just to shut you up.

An hour later the supervisor from the power company & the city showed up & shut the job down because I didn't have a building permit open.

Im not saying they are doing it to make sure they get more for themselves, but its really sad how it can really shut down people's ability to get into the market. 

That doesn't really matter to the city, they are going to do their absolute best to shut him down.

As a side question, assuming the tenant does pay for their own utilities, are there any legal ramifications when changing tenants in terms of when the properties utilities are shut off?
