I don't focus on the residential market but have friends that do.Used to when the markets where just recovering the first time home buyer houses they could make 30k on resale.Now with all these shows on TV like the last cycle you have heard's jumping in and overpaying for properties with big dollar signs in their eyes.

Background out side of REI: I have a masters degree in sports marketing/business and currently work at Fox Sports as an Account Executive selling our TV and digital assets (commercials, in-game logos & reads, activations).Short term goal: networking on BP including any meet-ups in SoCal and retaining as much information on the forum and podcast that I can, to put into action!

People today can’t even save up enough dough to buy a 300$ flatscreen tv .

Of course if I was able to time those peaks and valleys I'd be sipping mai tais while watching obscure sports on TV and not pretending to work at my desk.  

When watching TV, listening to a podcast or reading a blog always look at the opinions being given through the lens of the interviewee's experience and how their experience most likely conditioned them.

The room we use has a projection screen TV, that I connect my computer to.

Jamil should do better quality control, but he's on a TV show, does multiple podcasts, and has a million things going on...so maybe he should have a chief quality control officer, since the brand is kind of tarnished, to be honest, since I've heard others complain, too.
