Zillow is showing me comps with 3 and 4BR’s and almost twice the sq ft, so I’m not even sure if they are comps… We had the condo recarpeted and painted when we moved in, and that’s still in good shape, but the last owners made some “improvements” themselves to the kitchen and bathrooms that are a little janky, so those areas would be our focus.

Most claims aren't total losses, so if the house is in a depresssed market and sells for say $40k and has a fire in the kitchen...could easily be $20k in (retail) repairs and they're getting premiums on $40k, the math doesn't work like it normally would.

Finishing the basement, electrical updates, siding, blown in insulation in the walls, new driveway, tore down the old garage and built a new bigger one and final project  be moving the kitchen, blowing out a wall and opening it up for a great flow.

The main house is almost 3000SqFt, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths (2 masters), living room, dining room, office, laundry room, huge kitchen, Lots of closet space, nice private backyard with room for a pool,  etc.
