You should be doing this annually at an absolute minimum to ensure you are on track with your goals and can course correct if needed.

"Real" real estate education is found in real estate agent and broker courses, both initial licensing and CE, certain colleges and universities, courses offered by legit organizations such as Appraisal Institute, CCIM, BOMA, NAR, CRE, MBA,  etc., textbooks on real estate, real estate law classes, and SOMETIMES in education offered by REIAs.

This involves discussing legal and tax implications with professionals like a real estate attorney and tax advisor to find the best structure for your situation.
