I say this with full disclosure that I am no expert on the subject.

If you are going to become an expert at real estate investing, and buy property at auction, you have to get good at title search yourself.Title searching is not magic.

This one is a question for rental experts in particular, as my goal will be to rehab and rent the property.I'm looking at a property that the numbers are going to work out for a positive cash flow outcome.However, the driveway is steep.  

I'm no expert, and don't have nearly the experience some of these other guys have, but I have purchased out of state properties (without ever having stepped foot in the city) and am currently closing on a duplex that meets the 2% rule.
