The profit I am about to make off of the spec home has peaked my concern.

The activity of the asset will not impact the inheritance.I think your concern here should be a depletion of the asset.

I was looking into purchasing my first property to fix and flip.The house needs a lot of work but after running numbers it makes sense to me, my only concern is that the house has an addition that I’m not really sure when it was built but it was built on a slab. 

Rightly discerning her anxiety helps me understand her definition and position concerning risk, which is different than my tolerance of risk because of our personalities and life experience based on what we saw in our parents while growing up.Understand, my intent is not to "close" her like a salesman in order to get her to side with my position.
