Chances are pretty good that your LLC wouldn't elect any corporate taxation status when formed.

It's very "Apple-like" in terms of functionality which makes sense because the founder of Nest was a former Senior President at Apple and played a role in iPod and iPhone development.

If you elect to have your LLC taxed as another type of entity, the taxes will accounted for exactly like that other entity.Most likely, you will be on the hook for FICA tax on any income, so make sure you are set up to withhold and pay taxes on any salary or dividend distributions you may make.
