You cannot say "I will treat this person as a customer" because the law gives them far, far more protections as a tenant.Likewise, when you as a landlord, fulfill your duties under the lease and the tenant their's - then all is well and you should have a mutually beneficial landlord-tenant relationship.If you decided you wanted to treat Renata like a customer and not a tenant, you would be in violation of the law.If this is because you have some hang-up with the terms landlord and tenant and feel that if we used different terms, like customer, things would be peachy-keen, then that is proposterous.

It's a more beneficial proposition from the politician's standpoint to appeal to the 4 tenants (4 votes) than to one "greedy" Landlord who the politician knows will continue to pay their property taxes, etc regardless of whether the tenants pay rent or not.

To answer some of your questions:1) I do believe finding your first deal in your area is beneficial, as you are able to understand the process and maybe practice the idea of managing the property yourself if you're interested.

We have been more then fair in trying to work with them and also explaining the process if we dont come to a mutual agreeable plan.
