It crushed me when my 3 yr old was born and watching my wife cry wanting to just be home with our baby instead of going to work.

For the rest of us, not so much.The cost of litigation is typically borne by the party on the losing end.Again, litigation is NOT the "default" in ANY state.

Grateful to see other landlords working with tenants, keeping turnover low, and generally seeing them as human beings with limitations like all of us instead of the guy who was whining about having to do something for the single mom and her infant child when the house had a gas leak and it was below freezing.
