My understanding of the LLC is that it's primary role is to limit my personal liability and therefore protect my other personal assets (i.e. my home, car, boat, etc.).

Fifth, besides never owning any property in your own name, you should never own any titled personal property in your own name, like a car, truck, boat, airplane, tractor, trailer, or anything else that is registered at the state.

My understanding is that heloc is hard to come by these days, at least on a rental property and believe majority of banks do not offer it.I was on the same boat but ended up keeping my properties.

I am also in the same boat, as I am just beginning and still feel like I don't totally have a grasp on the terminology or analysis portion of investing.
