If I am bidding against obvious amateurs with their hearts on their sleeves at the auction and I sense that they are willing to go significantly higher, I have no qualms about bidding them up a bit as a bar to entry into the group of experienced auction buyers of the county who get things done in a civilized way and don't waste each other's time and energy when acquiring properties.

I looked like a real time saver, since you don't have to figure out the look that works best for the space/neighborhood potential, and you don't have to waste time finding all those materials.Has anyone ever used something like that?

That doesn't mean to pull the trigger on a deal before you understand the downside as well as the upside, and it doesn't mean to make a deal just because you've invested your time in analyzing a deal and don't want that time to go to waste.

Also wholesaling is tougher than it appears to be successful at it you would likely have to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on advertising to find seller leads, you likely aren't going to find anything that you can wholesale off of MLS unless you get a huge price reduction, and to do that you would need to find an agent willing to waste time writing many super lowball offers in the hopes that you get something.
