I've heard they can be rough, since students/young people will not treat your property as well as adults.

I am a real estate broker in Hartford County, and I was in the corporate environment for most of my adult life.  11 years ago, I got licensed, then 4 years ago I got my brokers license and started my own thing.  

Some parents here have gifted their properties to their adult kids - parent child transfers via inheritance or gift, you can inherit their property tax basis but you have to live in the house - this was from Proposition 19 passed in 2020 to undo some of the Prop 13 benefits.

We rented a home to three adult brothers just over a year ago and just signed the lease renewal. 

Understanding we're all emotional creatures helps but at the end of the day this is business and if we can't communicate like adults, it isn't going to work. 

If more than one adult is in their part, I don't start screening until every adult has a complete application.

The state defines a boarding house as five or more unrelated adults living in one house or apartment, the town defines it as three unrelated adults!!!
