Just as an update to this feed, after 3 months of implementation, thousands of dollars of investment into Appfolio, and time and effort on the part of us and our employees, we decided to cancel Appfolio and continue with Buildium, our current system.The implementation process was excruciating, and ultimately, when we were supposedly "up and running", it was still not working, AT ALL.Here are the problems we had with Appfolio:Zero support:  If you have a question about a current system, or God forbid something isn't working correctly, they send you to a video that explains how it would work, if it was working correctly.

Check with a local college campus, they might be able to help you find out who to talk to & god luck!

Re-reading some of your concerns I realize that I have not addressed one of them, that you can't really afford to buy in NYC without leveraging up to kingdom come ... that is a very valid concern, since the only ones who really lose out long term in a market like NYC are those that can't make it to the long-term because they stretch too far and are forced to sell at the worst time or give it back to the bank.

God forbid, if someone gets hurt in one of my properties, I do not want personal assets exposed, hence Holding Co/LLC is something I need to use for asset protection.
