But there are often attachments, "realtor only remarks", and other details in the MLS that are not available to the general public. 

you only wasted a few days. put it back on market.have your agent put in private remarks.. sale fail no fault of property or seller.

The emotional side of being debt free is pretty remarkable. 

The fact that you added the “maybe very long term” remark to your question, leads me to believe that you realize that it is unknowable when this low value housing will become higher value or get replaced by new developments.

The listing agent also has in the listing remarks that the current owner is trying to sell them to do some 1031 exchange, so I imagine there is some eagerness to sell.

I've seen some properties in this range that have remarkable numbers to me.Which leads to some of my concerns.
