Today, we have this thing called the computer, the digital camera and the internet.

Also a video camera if possible is a great help in other Airbnb matters and issues.

Normally these things cost hundreds to rent and I've seen cameras online that cause thousands.My question is primarily, what about this $100 camera is inferior?

As far as active surveillance like through a live feed from multiple cameras, some people are just really paranoid and I think in most cases like that, as Bill said most people are just trying to protect their property.

Mine can set door codes, message (or call) guests, schedule cleaners, adjust the thermostat, monitor my cameras, & call a plumber just as easily as a local PM can, for 1% of the costHire good cleaners, a solid handyman & befriend some helpful neighbors.

I bought the domain name of the street address (123mainstreet.com for example), bought a wordpress website template called quicksale, used my drone to get aerial photos of the property as well as a 360 camera that I paid $70 for to make a 3d tour, and then posted it on zillow as a for sale by owner.  

Hire a qualified plumber to send a camera through the stacks and main drains before purchasing the property.
