In purchasing insurance for the property from Farmers, I was shocked that they suddenly require an additional fire insurance policy from something called California FAIR plan.

I am reaching out to multiple companies for quotes, but the first one I got back was 22k (I'm still trying to recover from the initial shock of that one...)
