Also, in a partial loss situation I'd expect to be able to get the restoration work done for quite a bit less than the retail pricing that the claims adjuster will use as the basis for compensation.

HiAs I read your background it was very much like mine.I reach the same crossroad, but opt to see where opportunity brings me...ventured in to commercial retail shop (new)...commercial lease etcI just passed my RE license yesterday and joined a brokerage Bc after 12 yr other ppl are investing in me....I realized I can't deduct any thing or get compensation w/o my license here.
