Evidently I was correct; people resort to outright thievery when there investments go south.

Because it’s in the lakes region I decided to rent the upstairs 2/1 to full time tenants covering all my costs.I do short term renting for the downstairs( I think the winter it’s close to gunstock (ski area) and not too far to several other ski options.

There is usually stuff to do all year round, where a lake house like ours is about an hour from skiing.Now in the city of Sandpoint, about 45 miles north of Coeur d'Alene, you are fairly close to 2 ski resorts while being on an even larger lake (Pend Orielle).

I spent one year in Colorado and basically skied and partiedI graduated high school a year early.. but was really burnt out on school and of course it was mid 70's.... so when I quite after the snow started getting bad I just turned 18. went home lived at home and got my RE license.. then started selling RE.. it was challenging being that young but I carved out a niche and in my first year I made close to 50k in commissions  ( this is 1975)  ...

I always like to give them more information...including good food delivery options, best restaurants, things to do while in town, best place to rent gear (skis in winter, bikes in the summer) Good luck, STRs can be an amazing wealth generation tool
