Wanna be investor in Dallas, TX

Hi Everyone!

Long time lurker (like, seriously, I found BP 5 or 6 years ago), recently decided and started making things happen. Have been reading and learning a lot for the past few months. Set some pretty lofty goals (i.e. 2 flips and 10 doors by end of year, and 4 flips and 50 doors by end of 2020). This should be interesting considering I'm not working and would really like to keep it that way, but then the challenge becomes how to I fund/finance my deals. So I welcome suggestions (as long as it's not "get a job" cuz I may barf).

I'm a wife and mother of 3, so I have 4 kids. ;-)  A former IT Project Manager who's primary client was a Fortune 100 company, thus I have a lot of experience with reigning in timelines and budgets, disgruntled workers and clients, and corporate bureaucracy. I own 1 door, and we are going to "flip" the house we live in as soon as we find somewhere to move. My big concerns have been coming out of my comfort zone (it's been nice working from home and playing with kids) and building a network (social anxieties aside).

As I mentioned, my investing goals are both buy and hold, and fix and flip. I'm looking into single family and small multi-family for now. Within 5 years I'd like to have expanded into commercial multi-family and some mixed-use commercial. Long term I hope to one day add resort ownership to the portfolio.

Well, I hope I hear from  you. Thanks for reading, and I'm excited to move forward in this journey!

Kari
