I assume I need to find an architect to make sure I can actually move the wall I need to and to have a plan for contractors to follow.

Importantly, while it has doubled in value (and the taxes have followed along), it is in an area that the improved economy hasn't really reached.

If you do not follow some rules, you will not get desired protection.
