Right now it looks like Shelter Insurance has the best prices in Illinois for rental dwellings.

Hi All,I'm new to this forum so here's a bit of background on myself: I'm a young, new real estate investor that currently owns 1 residential investment property (it has 1 main house and 2 accessory dwelling units in the back, so 3 units total.

Are insurance agents plugging in tax assessors data to determine dwelling coverage.

We have also used ventless gas wall heaters with blower and window a/c on small dwellings

There are definitely some negatives to investing in Baltimore City, which I won't dwell on since they've mostly been aired out on this thread and many others.  

Between it all, the half lot has an actual street address (just land, no dwellings), and the other 2 lots combined have another street address, along with 2 houses (3/2, and 2/2 guest home separately metered electrically but single water line). 

The income on the listing says they are getting $1,100  for the accessory dwelling unit so I am unsure how your expected income is $2,200?

The street has multiple 3-4 fam dwellings.  

I have gotten a couple quotes and both of the quotes have the dwelling coverage for way more than the house is worth; is this normal?
