With that in mind, I look for working class neighborhoods, where they dont have granite countertops but they keep their yards up, in neighboring cities that are priced below market, and only take 3-5 years to pay off.

But you should be able to get the same comps from zillow or realtor.com that you could from MLS.I'm sure the filtering is far, far better on MLS based on some of the comps my realtor pulls for me from time to time.
