It has a pitch roof, good school district, 50k median incomes, unemployment rate dropped down from last year to 6.6ish, only downside is the population is dropping but I only need 6 families to live there. 

Hi Bigger Pockets Fam,I recently purchased my first home in Katy, TX a suburb outside of Houston with top-rated schools in the area.

The property is in a great location, with jobs, schools, and hospital all nearby.

I recently graduated and have been saving everything I can in order to get my first primary home.

Although I only own one duplex in Bloomington (and the current home I live in), I have lived here my whole life and graduated from IU.

Our property is on Elk trail between Pueblo trail and Onaga trail, around the block from Yucca Valley elementary school.

I am in Houston a coming upon my last semester in grad school.

It's going to be on a 15 year amatorization schedule so when my daughter  graduates high school it will be paid off and she can decide if she wants to continue to rent it out for cash flow, live in it, refinance it to pay for school or start a business or whatever, or sell it.

In real estate school they tell students about a story that involved a situation like that with a little old lady and her son hammered the crap out of the agent down the road.
