Yucca Valley STR / LTR eligibilty

Hey everyone,

Glad to finally be a part of the BP community!

I have recently been interested in renting out our property in yucca valley on AIRbnb as a STR. Our property is on Elk trail between Pueblo trail and Onaga trail, around the block from Yucca Valley elementary school. I have been looking at the Airbnb map and there doesn't seem to be any STR's on the market within close proximity of the school. This could be a complete coincidence but does anyone have any info on whether there's any specific zones in Yucca Valley that dont allow STR's ?  I have done my research but cannot find anything that outlines this besides all STR's require an approved permit by the town.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You apply for  permit every two years and pay $434 (not refundable). You need a business license for the city (also an annual fee like a tax)  If you get complaints like noise, trash, frat boys climbing on roof... they take the permit away no refund  https://www.yucca-valley.org/b...
