Since I have an abutting property next to the 50 x 50 lot, I was invited to participate in the auction, and I ended up winning.

We believe that medium-term guests, particularly traveling professionals like you have, would want to feel like our residence is their home-away-from home and will want to invite their families to visit, stay as they wish, etc.

I just booked a 6 bedroom house in Medellin, Colombia, so I can invite family and friends out to visit, then rent out the other rooms when available to test a co-living sublease model outside the country. 

You are inviting trouble that way.

Taking care of the little things and making sure that your home’s entryway is inviting will make visitors feel welcome.

For some clarity on why you were told this, let's go ahead and go to the lowest common denominator: car sales lot.If you walk onto a Ford lot and say you want a car that fits characteristics X, Y, and Z, characteristics that ONLY Toyota includes in one vehicle, an average Ford salesman will just tell you it doesn't exist and invite you to take a look at the F-150 or Ford Focus.
