Man.. appreciation in the right areas is the way to becoming very very rich.. there is a post on a recent  thread  "Rent control sweeping the US".. 

We grossed $275k last year, I kept around $50k -- I'm definitely not rich, but it's pretty chill and I like what I do.* My living situation: I live in a 3 bedroom home (I rent) in a very trendy neighborhood in Los Angeles.

So my main guy at 15% still does the bulk of my deals.Finding these 2 other guys really gave me the itch to put myself out there and find more rich people who want a good return.

I have finished reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and "The Book On Rental Property Investing" and just started reading "The Book On Investing in Real Estate with No and Low Money Down". 

I’m completely new to BP and to real estate investment but since reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, which was loaned to me by a coworker who was just starting out in real estate investing and seeing some success in the field, I decided it was worth looking into.

You got some great advice from @Rich O'Neill.

@Erin Auman, you’ll find answers to your questions after reading a book called Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

He recommended Rich Dad Poor Dad which changed my mindset and then I came across Bigger Pockets.
